There have been so many wonderful responses to this topic that I have decided to edit this post with some of the suggestions and advice accumulated in it. That being said I'm A bit fed up with iAFT right now after a slew of issues ruined my game save twice in a row, making it either impossible to recruit or dismiss characters. The only mods I personally have experience with are UFO, which I used back in my Oldrim days which I'm aware now is a dangerous and outdated mod, and iAFT which is what I have the most experience with. Make a back-up if you try this method! There is a separate command for Interesting NPCs. The downside is this will reset your followers but it might fix the issue. Also changes their combat behaviors so they can do healing and buffing. Think there's even an option to pay them a salary. You can give them orders like "meet me here", "go for a stroll around town", "let's relax", etc.
These days, it only takes me like five minutes to run through the whole process. Did it a couple of times and now I can port mods in my sleep. I never touched the CK in my life until I learned porting about a year ago. No strings attached for a mod that's just an ESP, but even if you had to go through the full process and deal with a BSA or meshes it still only adds a couple of minutes on. Only takes a few minutes, several of which will just be waiting for the CK to do its thing.
As mentioned it is an Oldrim mod so it requires porting. FLP: I am still learning about this mod as well, but I have a bit more to say about it. NFF: I am still learning about this mod so I have very little to say about it. By default you can have 5 followers actively following you, but with the leadership power this can be as many as A common criticism is that some users such as myself have issues using this mod along with Interesting NPCs, despite the existence of a patch. It does also grant you some spells that allow you to fine tune some options, as well as control what NPCs are recruitable by the manager. The main feature of this mod is that much of the customization is done by talking to your followers with a new menu. You can also manage how each follower levels up, to really fine tune their stats. Followers pose, dance, and more You may have a max of 5 mod-controlled followers with you at a time, with the option to limit it to 3 if you choose.Īnother nice feature is the outfit system will detect where the follower is and change their clothes accordingly. Manage outfits, spells, combat style, home assignment and level up. This is a discussion on the currently most used follower managers. I'm posting this after trying to find an up to date discussion on the topic and failing.
